THE EXECUTIVE

The Executive of FootEdge had been dancing together on a competitive bhangra team for over four years before the idea of FootEdge came to life. While they had traveled together across North America competing in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC and Seattle, they had developed a strong bond and mutual appreciation for each other’s various dance backgrounds.
The five dancers had come together aside from bhangra to do various performances around Vancouver with some talented other dancers with various backgrounds. The idea of FootEdge came from the acknowledgement that all those different dance forms could be combined to create something very new, refreshing and different on the dance stage in Vancouver. South Asian dance in Vancouver was about to be hit with a dance style that combined Indian and Western dance.
Their strength comes from a solid understanding and respect of each others talents and abilities. Not only do these dancers feed off of each other’s energy and ideas, most importantly, they have fun dancing on a stage together. And for them, nothing is more valuable than being able to entertain the audience, while doing something they are so passionate about.
